That little sucker it loud! Not that my band is that loud IMO, but the master was barely at 9:00. I guess that's the story with most GK heads though. It's just funny to look back at my other band where I was cranking a 2001RB into an 810 just to keep up with the guitars.
| Just curious- where were your Input Gain and Boost set? I use that same combination (MB500 and S15Ds +Jazz bass), but I like the response in the gain if I used the input pad engaged. That way though, its not as loud, and I have to run the master past noon with a band. I haven't found a way to run the input pad off, and still get the dynamic response that allows me to dig in when needed and still sound good, yet loud.
It may be my right hand technique though. I tend to play lightly most of the time. A great player sat in on my rig recently and I was astonished at how much louder he was than I am with the settings unchanged. "sound is in the hands...more than anything else"

If that is the case, not optimal for adding a 112 (the single 12 driver will get twice the wattage of each of the drivers in the 212. With the 800 series MB amp, plenty of wump though with the 8ohm 212. |

Hmmm. More Money, but very possibly more performance in ways I would like. Hmmm.

Also, I believe you are well acquainted with Bass Gear Magazine. Right? The review I just read of the ML112 was quite impressive.

Bring beer. | That is a VERY tempting offer. I'm sure we'd have some laughs! I'll be right over. Let's see, how many thousand mile drive is it? Might get there in time for leftover thanksgiving sandwiches

If you're wishing for more out of your favorite 210, or current "standard" 112/115; no "supercab" is going to solve that for you.
Strictly my opinion there.
I'm a long time "two small cabs stacked vertical user;''
for several reasons.
Less strain on the cab(s), easier to move than one bigger one, better nearfield monitoring for me.
I'll take any of my 112's to rehearsal, or, a small jazz gig.
Beyond that, I'm always taking two.
Always. Quote:

Always. | Point well taken. I like the stacked pair as well. So the price point makes the NEO II's very compelling with size/weight being very similar. My ears may find a horn loaded 1x12 more familiar. Not necessarily better. Just more familiar. So who knows. As Vic pointed out, The Neo II's can be had quite reasonably ...and from places with very liberal return policies. So in that regard, makes for a relatively risk free test drive. Hmmm
