I have the 700RB-II (sittoing atop 2x112's) and since I do not play in a band, have as yet to really 'provide the power'. I know you chose the 1001 to keep a cleaner tone than the 700, but how did the 700 sound pushing the 2x112's? (I should really get mine out of the house and into the garage - for some REAL testing) | I have gigged out several times with the 700RB-II, once pushing two Neo112-II's and once pushing the Neo212/112 stack. For my needs, it had all the volume I could ask for, and I like the sound of the GK power section running hard.
All IME/IMHO, of course, and YMMV. |

got an 80's 800rb to go along top of my new one! Of course, the one from the 80's sounds better than the actual new one. |

So I decided that I liked my MB500 enough to return it...and get an MB800 instead.

GK700RB II, GK NEO1X15 III (excuse the SWR S.O.B., please). I love this rig. Only downside is being unable to utilize the bi-amping in this configuration, but I plan to ammend that eventually with another NEO1X15 III. Also going to add a VTBass come January and bypass the pre. I too love the GK power section. The most awesome thing about sending a VT through the fx return is that all the bi-amping and boost are still available, making it a killer amp and the best of both worlds. I added a large hole to the rack case above where the fan is located to let the amp "breathe".
Number?

They have been installed! Exactly what I needed, although I don't think the 800RB is going to be gigged as much now that I've got one of the micros.

How do you like the Neo 15, by the way?

I also Had to order the Neo 410 4ohm cab from them cause Musicians Friend messed up my previous order. All is good though since RMC gave me a better deal on the cab, even though will have to wait a month to get it.

My first amp was a Backline 600 and the fan stopped working. I replaced the fan and it still didnt work so I got rid of it.... Then a Yamaha PB1 / Crown set up. Then a Genz Benz Shuttle and an Ampeg V4.... Keeping the Ampeg V4, but everything else is gone and going back to GK..... |

How do you like the Neo 15, by the way? | Dimension wise, they are pretty close but a little off. Obviously, no interlocking corners. So far, really digging the NEO 1x15. Prior to this setup, I was using the NEO 1X5 with an RBH 2X10. The band and myself much preferred it when I decided to try out my SWR with it though. So much more presence and bottom end with an articulate mid punch. Maybe it's the combo of SWR and GK, but this seems to be a common trait amongst stacked dual 15's. The 15's seem to fill in all the right frequencies that the NEO 2x12 I tried seemed to lack. (They didn't seem to lack anything until I tried the 15's...the 2x12 sounded great.)

The fans are LOUD when they kick on.
There seems to be a high pitched whine coming through, but not right away, and it doesn't matter if the fan is on or off. Not sure what to make of it yet, but I hope nothing is wrong.
