Gallien Krueger speaker cable question

Just picked up an ex cab for my Markbass combo and forgot to get a a speaker cable..I have 2 Gallien Krueger speaker cables, the ones used for bi amping the GK Head to the GK cab, could i use the GK cable for my Markbass, I know it's different from a regular speaker cable just don't know if I could use it on a Markbass...Thanks Guys

It should work fine. Your MarkBass cab will only use the +1 and -1 wires, the extra +2 and -2 wires intended for the GK horn management just won't be connected to anything.

I use the same cable for my 1001RB into a 212 neo and with my Ashdown lil giant 500 as well. Just make sure you have the switch on the GK cab to full range not bi-amp.

Hey Jady, do you mean switch a GK cab to full range if I use my Markbass combo with a GK cab....because I have been using my 1001RB11 with a 4/10 Neo cab with the switch on the cab BI amped using the GK cable..is that right ??? Now I plan on using a Markbass combo with a 2.10'' cab

Right....when using a GK cab with a non GK amp, switch the cab to full-range. Otherwise, the cab's tweeter will not be in the circuit.
