Gallien Kruger mb200 question

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one of these soon. Perhaps this is a silly question, but in the owners manual I notice there is a XLR out, a Speakon out, and a headphone/Line Out. Is the Headphone/Line out jack used for standard speaker cabs, or do I need to get some kind of adapter to use one of the other outs?

Yea, I don't have a degree in electronics.

Thanks for your help.

The Speakon out is a dual output jack. Works with Speakon or 1/4" speaker cable. Hope that answers your question.

The headphone/lineout jack is switchable: you need to push a button in or out to get either one. The line out would drive a power amp, for example, thus making the MB200 a preamp. There is also an Aux in, where you can plug in an MP3 player say, then use the headphone out to play along with it. Very versatile little head.

Thanks. I didn't realize the Speakon was dual.
