GAS attack!

Well, I play a hartke lh1000 thru a hydrive 410. Now i am on to get a second maching cab. Do I really need it? No. Do I want it? Yes! I never had an experience to play a 8x10 configuration. What do you think?

Any time you double your speakers, it sounds way more awesome than not. The lows get a nice warm boost, and everything just plain sounds prettier to my ears. Turn the bottom tweet off for best results. HIGHLY recommended!

.....seemslike a lot of haulin' around....cant you borrow one for the one time experience?
I had an acoustic 408 cabinet with 4-15's in it....same size as an Ampeg svt 6-10...it got to be like carring a casket around after awhile...

Thanks jimmy. This is what I wanted to hear. I was also wondering how to set the tweeters as I am running the single cab -6 dB.

It is interesting how this "impendance" thing works. Now running at 4ohms I really see the power of the lh1000. At 8ohms I needed to cranck the volume at 5/6 and now I am fine at 2/3. And the tone is rounder and bigger in the low end. Thank you guys for the advice to buy a second cab

It is not so much the increase in amp head power as the increase in cone area that is making you so much "louder"

Yeah I think it goes hand in hand with the speaker cone area too... And it is just so cool to have a big rig behind me

Having the 2 cabs will always give you that option of taking one with you or both, depending on the gig/practice situation

Exactly! I'we been in the studio and our sound engeneer wanted to record the bass tracks DI as usual. I said hey, I wanna try my fullstack... So we ended up recording line, one mic in front of the speaker and a large condenser about 3 meters from the rig... The results: he said it is the best sound I ever had
