Gator Rack Problems.

So the other week packing up after a gig and putting the gear in the car one of the handles has come loose and now slides pretty easily. It wouldn't really be a problem but when I carry the rack vertically the bar slides out of the hole just.

I'm not really in a position to be able to go and buy a new rack, so I was wondering if anyone has an easy fix for this. I've had the rack for about 2 years so it's out of warranty.

I have had the same problem with 3 of their racks. It must be a design flaw. So far 2 of the racks only have the handle sliding around a bit. The other one came completely out. Next time I will buy SKB.

Yeah, I don't think I'll buy a gator product ever again.

I had an older Gator rack that did the same thing.

I fixed it by drilling a small pilot hole through the molded plastic and into the handle, then putting in a small machine screw. Never slid again.
