GB Shuttle 6.0-12T on the way!

I finally broke down and ordered a new combo/amp. I currently have a GK with Ampeg 1x15 and 4x10 cabs, and an Ampeg BA112 combo. The big rig handles my country gigs fine but is overkill for the kind of gigs I play most often. The little Ampeg comes up short for my acoustic duo/trio gigs. It doesn't produce enough volume before distortion, no balanced DI, and at 40 lbs not exactly a micro amp.

I'll probably divest of a few pieces of gear, and perhaps get a matching STL-12T cab down the road if I can get away with just the two 12's for the country band (I expect I can). Woo-hoo! No more back-breaking load in/out!

Congrats on the purchase!

I also have a Shuttle 6.0, but with a much heavier cab (410T-XB3) and it sounds monstrous!

Can't go wrong with GB, imo. The head is versatile (clean/grind) and wide selection of cabs to choose (huge bottom XB3, punchy Uber cabs, etc)

I'm sure it'll sound great with my Ampeg cabs ... but at 57 years old I'm damn tired of hauling those puppies up and down stairs and across parking lots!

Congratulations. I have GAS for the Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 too and I’ve all but pulled the trigger or ordering one - but I don’t think I can resist much longer.

EDIT:
I’m thinking (GAS) the “Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0” paired up with the “Barefaced Super Fifteen” will be my ultimate small super lightweight mini Monster of Doom!!!

Congrats! You won't look back. The Shuttle 6'0 is great, as stated, does overdrive & clean nicely. & SO small & light.

I have the Shuttle 6.0/12T combo and it sounds HUGE for such a small package. You're gonna love it.

I'm 61 and I've sworn off heavy cabs, too. I have the 12T, a Shuttle 2x10 (32 pounds) and if I really get inspired, a G-B 1x15 that only weighs 63 pounds and is on rollers. They're all 8 ohms, so I can play mix & match with any two of the three if I feel inclined to do so.
