Question, is there any benefit to alternating between the two power amp if you are only using one cab? | I have a 12.0 and a 9.2...as far as I know the two poweramps sound identical on the 12.0 |

Question, is there any benefit to alternating between the two power amp if you are only using one cab? | No. The only reason to own a 12 or 12.2 is if you have a 2ohm situation (i.e., two 4 ohm cabs). With a single 8 ohm cab, or a single 4ohm cab, the Max 9.2 will give you identical tone and singificanly more headroom. With two 8ohm cabs, the 12/12.2 and the Max 9.2 will perform similarly.
The Shuttle 9 is a different sounding amp altogether, with MUCH less EQ control.
Edit: Did you try the 12 and 12.2 in the same room at the same time through the same cab? Man, if you prefer one to the other, you have amazing ears. The .2 will be a slight amount fatter when really pushed, but otherwise, they should be pretty much identical. The gain structure is a bit different, so they will sound a touch different with the gain/volume set the same.

This coming from the 12.0 owner who will admit to having eyed Alphaman's 12.2 that was listed 1.5 hours ago. |

Really? Aux in is TRS which then becomes mono internally?
Excellent! I've been using an adaptor Y cord all this time... |

Excellent! I've been using an adaptor Y cord all this time... | That's what I've been doing with the 12.0, too. I just happened to study the block circuit diagram for the 12.2 closely one day...oddly, the 9.2 diagram doesn't show the same input. Maybe it has been updated? Ol' Hoss? |

Works very well, and doesn't affect my input signal near as I can tell. The Eden that I just sold had big issues in this arena (the design, not the specific amp itself).

To my surprise their outgoing message identified them as "Fender Musical Instruments". Can someone PLEASE bring me up to date on happened? Is Jeff still associated with the company? Will GB still be producing new products. This is REALLY disappointing. |

They have been under the same umbrella as Fender for years, but still their "own" company. They haven't been an independent company for a long time now...

Question (not sure if it's been asked in the first thread): Has anyone noticed an appreciable difference in tone when wiring 1 8 ohm cab to each power amp vs. wiring them both to one power amp (besides any extra volume the additional 150W would get you in the first example)?

My amp is racked so I have no use for the bag. First person who replies and wants it - it's yours for free, shipped. Continental U.S. TB members only.
Don't have a pic, but this is the bag. It's still in the plastic, untouched. http://www.theperfectbass.com/Genz-B...-Carry-Bag.htm
Merry early Christmas.

Merry early Christmas. | Hmm.. did yours come with the bag direct from GB? I bought mine new and they tried to sell me the bag (which I didn't buy). I don't need it right now anyway, but might in the future. If it was supposed to come with it, I'll take a trip back to the music shop where I bought the amp and give 'em hell.
