GB Streamliner

It seems like there are a lot of Streamliners hitting the classified section. It could be that they sold a lot of them and maybe 5% are hitting the classifieds but it just seems like a lot are being sold. Is it a strongly voiced love it or grow weary of it type of amp? Just wondering what the owners / former owners thought.

Thanks!

I love my 900, I'm keeping it forever.

I loved my Shuttle 9.0 long before I got my Streamliner. The Streamliner moved to #1 for awhile but I recently went back to the S9 and have really been enjoying it's clarity, feeling it gives my basses a more guitar like sound. If someone said I could only own one amp I'd be hard pressed to take the Streamliner over the Shuttle 9.0.

We'll see ....

With so many glowing reviews, it's easy to see gear through rose-colored glasses; I was ready to fall head-over-heels in love with the Streamliner, but I couldn't get a sound I liked out of it using my fretless P-bass or fretless 55-02D (both strung with TI flats) on the two occasions I took a Streamliner for a test drive in a local music store.

Some people are willing to buy gear as a way of trying it out; if they don't like it, they usually return it or flip it. I don't think the Streamliner is unique in this regard, and wouldn't read too much into the TB F/S ads we're seeing.

I love my Streamliner.
I went from a Shuttle 6.0 to a Streamliner and couldn't be happier.

For my taste the beef/knife ratio was too high. I like a more flexible mid control.

Mine is currently for sale, and it is a fantastic amp. I really like it, but after owning it for many months still find myself gravitating back to my M9 and GBE 1200... something about that quickness and snap. I picked up the SL to add something tubey and thick to the stable and it does that in spades; just turns out I may be more set in my ways than I suspected
