GBE 750 Line Out

Sign in to disble this ad
Just wondering if anyone has any comments on their experience with the line out on their 750"s. Do most of you run it "pre" or post EQ? I have been using mine for about 4 years now and I have been happy for the most part (using both "pre" and "post"). I do though have a friend who is willing to part with his REDDI for next to nothing. I know that a "good sound" is very subjective but would this be much of an improvement in your opinion? With practicing and performing I use a few different amp and speaker config's and I also wouldn't mind having a little consistency in my sound from rig to rig.

I run my GBE1200 and shuttle as well as the Streamliner Always PRE.. Unless i want to record the sound , then i would run it POST..
The Genz DIs are as good as any active DI ( countryman, Brooks Siren ) etc..
I do have a REDDI.. and to me there is Nothing like the REDDI..
On most of my gigs i use my Genz DI out // but in a select important gigs, i will bring the REDDI out of the studio and use it in a gig... And it does wonders if you use an IEM mix only.

But dont take the Genz DI lightly.. Great , quiet DI that will drive a signal for LONG distances with ease.. I did festival gigs in Europe this past summer.. where the FOH may have been at the 50 yard line, thats far away!! and it had no issues at all.. and was crisp , clear, with defined tight lows... No extra noise etc..

Thanks for the valuable info Kirk! Really enjoyed your website also! I'll have to stop out for a show if you are in the Chicago area sometime.
