I have seen nothing about these cabs. Has anyone tried them? It looks like it would be similar to an eden cab.

cab

Just a bump. I talked to Genz a few weeks ago and apparently they have been out for a few years. Must be the neo craze killed all of the sales. That will probably change now. They look like the closest thing to an eden xlt cab that is still movable. If I was in the market for a pair of 2x10's these are probably what I would go for.

I have the XB2 410T and I love it. Highly recommend GB cabs.

The XB-2 has been replaced by the XB-3, that's why they are not available.

Yeah, the OP was referring to the XB3. Knowing Genz as I do, I'm sure the XB3 would be a great cab, too.

cab

Yeah, I was. This series is one of the only ported cabs I would be interested in at this point. I've been trying out a lot of cabs lately and I can say this: Neo and ceramic cabs sound different. Not better or worse, just different. Im sure that it's in the design and not the materials, just the ones I have heard have a different sound. A neo driver like the eminence 2510II looks very similar in mids/highs to a beta 10a but, they definitely sound more different than the chart suggests. Thats not taking low end into account, just the tonal character. I have generally prefered the sound of the ceramic designs.

I posted in another thread.. But figured I will repost here to help anyone wanting to know about GB NEOs.

PS.. I was talking with Jeff Genzler today in email. I was wondering about the future of NEO speakers since i noticed other companies going back to less efficient Ceramic Mags. I'm guessing because of the availability..?

Quote from Jeff ...GB will continue to be THE source for professional NEO cabs, NOW and in the future. ... and "UBER, NEO-X and SHUTTLE cabs are HERE TO STAY"

Thats from the boss himself..

Just wanted to share with you all..

cabs

Well, thats really good news. I know that other manufacturers have made similar claims but, as the prices rise, we'll see. Hey, here's to the future of our backs and to the Genz guys! Literally within a few minutes of playing my first shuttle I was a convert.

I have two Genz GB410T-XB3 cabinets. Been gigging them for the past couple of years. Had a 810Uber before the 2 x 410's. No regrets going with the XB-3's.

Can anyone who has used both compare the xb3 cabs to the eden xlt cabs?

From the other XB3 user comments, it should have a lot more lows than the XLT's (even the 210).

I've never played one.
