Genz Benz castors. Anyone buy them direct?

Sign in to disble this ad
Bought a used Uber-212 and flipped it over and there are 4 sets of holes where someone mounted castors. I want to add them. The set in the back for tilting and rolling are okay, but for longer distances, I can't see doing that without hurting my back again.

Just wondering if there were real Genz-supplied units on there or some home depot type.

I'd like some that are removable if at all possible.

anyone have any pictures or price estimates for the ones Genz uses?

And, do they actually put castors on their cabinets?

I'm asking a simple question - has anyone seen or use the ones Genz Benz puts on their own cabinets (if they do).

I specifically want to know if they are the removable plate type versus the Ernie Ball kind where you have to drill a big hole in the bottom of the cabinet.

As far as I know, Genz Benz doesn't put castors on the bottom of the Uber cabinets, the only ones I believe they come with are the tilt-back ones.

That's what I was wondering. The 4 holes that are on the cabinet are spaced pretty far apart. They clearly were not the small Home Depot castors that were on there. I would like to use the same holes if I could.

I did find a post in TB from years ago about Genz Benz removable plate castors. Didn't know if they were sold. I checked the GB pricelist and they aren't on there as an option.

I guess I'll just guess.

Thanks.

I want to know what Genz Benz uses, in case the holes I have were from GB directly. Then I don't have to measure holes and try to figure out if they are the same spacing.

That's all.

My Genz-Benz GB410T-XB3 cabinets came with factory installed casters. There are 4 per cabinet and they're easily removable. They have a plate that is attached to the bottom of the cabinet and the caster slides in and out of the plate.

I'd give Jeff a call and ask him if he will sell you a set. I don't see why he wouldn't.

BTW, the caster have held up very well on both of my cabs. So I recommend them.

FYI I bought a set of tilt back castors and a handle for my Peavey 215 directly from GB.
