what cab are you running it through? the store I teach at has a couple of these amps and I must confess that I find the sound incredibly compressed and non-organic. Doesn't really take to my playing dynamics like other amps, and I found the top end really processed/'off' sounding. It also takes my pedals horribly, specifically the distortion. The store is only using a 2x10 GB cab, but I really just do not like this amp as I have played it thus far.

Don't take this as a hating thing; if you like it and it works for you, I'm happy to hear it, but IME, this amp is pretty disappointing. not sure if things have changed on them in the last couple years, but my store's amps are at least few years old now FWIW

I've also been disappointed playing the 3.0-10T in stores. I'm convinced the cab is just too small for a 10.

No worries whatever I say here is IMHO and you have every right to say what you think, thats the way ideas are exchanged.

This setup works for me because of its compact nature.. I got the combo with the 10T cab. Its small but fairly punchy. Its a great practice setup as my regular setup (Orange AD200 , OBC115 , Hartke 410XL) is just a little big and loud.

I also plan to travel with the 3.0 head only and use my headphones so with the multi voltage system that helps a lot plus the 2.75lbs!

I have one and I added a second 10T cab for 300 watts. Much improved, without being heavy. I used the 3.0-10T without the extension speaker at a theatre onstage with a drummer Saturday night and had no problem being heard. I'll add that I find the EQ pretty good, but my Precision sounds a lot better through it than my Godin A5 fretless.

When I have a serious gig, I use two 10T cabinets with my Mesa/Boogie Walkabout. One 13-lb head and two 16-lb boxes. Terrific for this old guy.

I agree with all of you. I'm using the Shuttle 3.0 head with two 10T cabinets as well, and am running them as a mini stack. Whilst it's incapable of producing gut shaking lows, when eq-ed correctly the upper lows and low mids punch will produce a sound that can cut through a mix quite well. The small sizes of the cabs is a deal sealer for me as well.
