I'm choosing cabinet for Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0. Want to have something to practice at home at small amounts of volume and to have enough power to use it on gigs.
I'm choosing between Phil Jones Pirahna 4B and TC Electronic RS210 (main candidate). They are quite little and powerful. It's a pity that I can't listen to them at local stores. So I hope TB can help me. Maybe another suggestion for cabinet? |

Look into the Avatar speakers. You can customize them (lots of colored tolex choices). There's a lightweight neo 410 with eminence speakers, for $600. Also, if you buy a cab from them, you can get the shuttle 6.0 for $100 less ($600). Or, you can get the shuttle 9.0 for the same price as a normal 6.0 (for $700). I'd say that's an excellent deal. Here's the page
Or if you don't have a budget, there are better 2x10 cabs like the Markbass 102HF (for $630), Epifani UL2-210 (for $900) Eden D210XLT (for $1137).

Markbass, Epifani and Eden are great, I suppose. But they cost here too much.

| | | | Well I was thinking the Neox because it is 4 ohms and you can get all the gusto out of your 6.0.
There is a guy over there that makes custom cabs. That might be your best bet. It's on the tip of my tongue when I think of it I'll post a link.

Country/Motown/Stax/Blues/Easy listening at Country Clubs, Bars, Private parties, etc. 5 to 100 people type gigs. At 46 lbs., I could move it with one arm and carry my bass and amp in the other. But, it's not the lightest cabinet out there.
Check out the GK Neo 112- II, you might find it just right. |

Play that funky music
Brick house
Beat it
and Classic Rock just fine. Now, these are not extremely loud shows. Loud enough to satisfy the drunks but, not so much that the older folks are holding their ears. I really liked the cabinet alot. I regret selling it because my 2x10 now is 60 lbs. I miss the one trip load ins. The rig recieved quit a few compliments. Nice and smooth and deep with the shuttle. Crispy highs if you want. It never farted out at the volume we play, but the shuttle certainly can do it if you push it. It's a small to med size club cabinet and it does that job very well. I used it in Moose lodge halls and it projected just fine. (picture the size of a high school gym.)
Peace,
John

Great deal. Very nice combination of three: Shuttle 6, RS210 and Stingray4 I'd highly recommend. |
