Genz Benz Suttle 9.0 Auxiliary in

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all. I have the headphone output from my laptop plugged into the auxiliary in of my shuttle 9.0. All the cables are stereo, but the mix from the computer coming into my headphones from my 9 is in mono. Is the aux input a mono input only, or is there a way I could change it to stereo? Not a huge deal, just wondering. Thanks for your help.

Since the amp is mono out, going in can only be mono. If you are only getting one L or R channel from your Aux in, you might have to get a adapter from stereo to mono.

I know, I know...... it is hard to understand stereo doesn't work with one speaker And 3D doesn't work too well if your blind in one eye

haha, I have to explain that one to my fiancee all the time

yeah i figured it was only mono cause it would be going through one speaker (or set of speakers). I've just changed the MIDI files I play along to in Logic to mono out so it all comes through.

I posted a similar thread a while back. What you need is a little stereo -> mono adapter. It will sum the stereo into a mono signal and you'll get all the sound. I got mine at radioshack.
