I had a few shows with this winning combo along with the Shuttle MAX 12.0 now and wanted to share a little bit about them.
The Uber 410 is just amazing. The mids just cut from this cab and is very aggressive. The tweeter is sweet as well and offers just the right amount of highs without being harsh. I set it at about 35%. The lows are very nice but not as deep and wide as the Epifani UL cabs. The Eminence speakers are tightly grouped and really creates that in your face punch. Simply stunning.
The Uber 212 is something else. I dont have alot of experience with 12s so I wasnt sure what to expect. But, this cab is just killer. The lows are chest pounding and quite clear and round. I was pleasantly surprised how much I love this cab. The tweeter again adds the right amount of highs to get notes ringing out. I actually turned the tweeter down to about 25% and this cab was rockin'!! I am tempted to get another one and rock a 412 stack some night!!!
The combo of the 212s and the 410s is like having a complete full range system. The mixture of the chest pumping 212s and the in your face aggressive 410s produces a bass tone to die for. On Saturday I played a 500 seat theater and was able to turn the rig up and stand out about the 3rd row from the stage. It was just amazing. The clearity and overall tone blew me away. The 212s had the place shaking and the 410s were cutting through it all. Everyone in the band said my rig sounded incredible. Especially my guitar player that said I was crazy for selling my other cabs.
I get PA support at all my shows and we used our regular sound guy this past Saturday. He is very familiar with my sound and he prefered the Uber cabs over my Epifani. I agree. The Uber 410 / 212 combo is nothing short of amazing and I would recommend this setup for any touring or clubing musician. I believe there is some audio from the show mentioned above. Once I get ahold of it I will post some clips so you can hear it.
Cheers to Jeff and crew for producing an amazing rig. It is nothing short of awesome!!!
