Should I check out the Uber's, or go with a Neo X 212T?

Depends on what tone you're after.
A friend of mine uses a pair of the Neox-112T with his and likes them a lot.

I'd think that just about any of the Genz cabs (or Bergantino) would work great!

I'm actually selling my 1288 to take a step down in weight. I want to try a pair of Focus 15's. Nothing against the cab, but I need something more modular for my current situation. Anyone else have the same situation?

here is my main stay of cabs.. I love the Uber 115s with my Alleva P bass..
Actually gigged with the tweeters OFF when i used my Jazz bass yesterday.... Dont know if i would do that all the time.. But the cabs do have a nice smooth mid response.

Nice Kirk! Where's the Rainbow bass?? It would go well with all of those lights on both of the heads!

Do you run the Streamliner through 1 15 and the 9.2 through the other for clean/dirty mix, or switch heads through both cabs for different basses?

Hi.. I was only experimenting that day.. It as a gig that i can get away with a bit of twiddling. So i brought both heads with me to play around... I only ran one head into both cabs at a time....
Rainbow.. "Ave Maria "Bass was at home. It was a gig where i can have more fun with 4 string...

Twiddling gigs are the best! Either way looked like a good time...and 2 heads are always better than 1! ;-)

Revive yee thread! I just bought a GBE 1200 and it is one bad mutha, but I now need a new cab setup that can handle all the different styles I play, so a modular rig like two quads would be nice. I need a 4ohm/1000W setup for my loud metal band, although 8ohm/500W would do fine for small gigs with the reggae band.

In either case, I need some fat low end, since the GBE already has strong mids. I've had my eye on a 4 ohm fEARful 1212/6/1, which could handle anything. Anyone care to sway me in either direction? Thanks!

I can give my 2 cents on the Uber Quad. I owned ONE and it was anythiny BUT fat and LOW end. It was very tranparent, and focused. Not sure if it would be what you are looking for.

Just another opinion, I have had a pair of quads for about two years. Plenty of bottom and punch, shook the room last night at a Christmas gig with no P.A. support. Don’t rule them out before you try a pair.

Well maybe the two together may get what you want for the metal band, however one cab will be hard pressed to give you the LOWS needed for your reggae band. JMHO

A pair of the quads really punches hard... They are real nice for hi fi.. sound.. But i have done some pretty loud rock gigs with my PAIR ... They will shake the room, even without PA support... Something in the way the couple together when stacked.... Metal. I never really play that.. But i do some texas guitarslinger type gigs where teh GIT is way too loud and the pair would keep up great.. Im just leaning on my Uber 115s these days alot.. I really dig these cabs
