Genz Benz XB2 cabs (410 and 610)

Hi

Can anyone provide details on what these cabs are like?

I'm after a big cabinet, and I'm thinking of picking up the 610 in a sale.

Weight isn't an issue, but tone is.

For the record, I like the punch of the Aguilar DB12s.

I have the 6x10 XB2. It is a very beefy cab. It has great low end. If your looking for somthing bright this isn't it. I use it to play outdoor venues and it sounds great. It is heavy though so beware.

That was my experience as well, though in limited use.

I used the 610T-XB2 with an Ampeg SVT-II. It had an amazing full range tone with the 'peg. It would do a shimmery high end but was not disproportionately necessarily bright. I used a P Bass, a Carvin J, and a Ric 4001 at the time all with bright-ish strings. Definitely my favorite amp/cab combination I've ever used.
