Genz Neo X112 or Hydrive112

Building a 212" rig one cab at a time. Is the Genz Neo X 112 ($639) really that much better than the Hartke Hydrive 112 ($)399 ???? That's a pretty big price difference.

I have the Neo112/400 combo. It really kicks ass. Never played the Hartke. Try both and see what u like.

The Genz seems to be the class of the field, but for half the price, I'll have to give the hartke a test drive.

Never tried the Genz, but bought the Hydrive 112 a couple of weeks ago, and love it.

Amazingly light for the sound it produces. Deeper lows than my SWR W2X10T, and the hybrid cone is warm without farting out.

I use it with a GK MB 200, and if I need to push more air, the impedance switch allows me to hook up my 2X10 for a nice little micro-stack.

How do you define "better"?

Probably trying to figure if the GB is worth the price difference.

My suggestion is, if possible, try both and see which one you like best. Use your ears and not your eyes.

If it's not possible to try both then welcome to the world of TalkBass Gear Whoring!! (or TBGW for whort.) Woo-HOOOOO!
