GenzBenz Uber 410 "farting"?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm getting a Shuttle 9.0 today from a retailer, and will possibly be getting the Uber 410 to go with it in about a month when I have the money.

For those who have used the Uber 410, did you experience any "farting out" at higher volumes and lower frequencies? I play a G&L 5 string, and want to make sure it can really handle the low end. I've heard this combo is great and meant to be paired. Thanks for your help.

All cabs have their limits but you should be able to get pretty low and loud before the uber 410 starts farting out.

The Uber 410 compares with any 410 on the market, favorably against many. If you find the limits of an Uber 410, it would be time to add another one, not time to question its fortitude (IMO anyway).

Playing lots of gigs in football stadiums?

I played an UBER against the mesa410 in the store with teh shuttle 9.. the Uber took way more power and was loud!,, The Mesa farted out real early... the Uber was just starting to come awake and slam in a good way.... and the uber is articulate.

The think the heading of your post can be misinterpreted though.. It reads as if there is an issue with the Uber.. where instead you are asking a different type of question..

and any cab will fart out if fed too much or EQed with massive amounts of bass freq. Some crush before others.

To my ear, my Uber dominates in the low end... I tune down to A and spend a lot of time down low - I swear the Uber loves the workout You should have no worries.

I just came upstairs from a/b'ing my new 410 uber against my hlf svt. I think there was way more definition with the uber. Haven't got to play with a full band yet though. Great cabinet

GB Uber cabs rock. I've kept my Uber while selling off, Mesa Powerhouse, Ampeg Classic, Epifani UL, and a few lower end cabs.

The Uber is designed to really come into its own and "open up and growl" when pushed hard.

I did think your thread title implied you were having a problem with your cabinet. .......FWIW.
