Getting an Aguilar DB410, amp head suggestions.

I'm getting a DB410 cab very soon, but I'd like to get a few opinions.
Should I get a Tone Hammer as soon as possible, or continue to save up for an AG 500SC?

Congratulations! The DB410 is a really great cab. I use one, at 8 ohms, with a DB750. If you can swing it, I highly recommend it.

Running at 8 ohms allows one to get that master volume up into the realm of the gods! Seriously, by reducing the output of that amp a bit, you can really get some great tone out of it without killing the band or audience.

I got to hear my rig from the back of the room a few weeks ago when a guy sat in. I couldn't believe how strong it was. Clean and clear with amazing fundamental in the tone. This guy played much harder than I and he was pretty much overpowering the band. IMO this particular pairing is as good as it gets. Biggest down side is the weight, of course. I'm gettin' pretty old so I may have to check out one of those Tonehammer amps.

But really, I think any decent amp is going to sound great through that cab.

DB750/751 if you can afford it. (::cough, cough, I have one for sale, cough, cough:

"like a velvet gloved sledge hammer" as one TB'er put it.

Any of the Aguilar heads will sound great with it.
