Getting a Bugera this week

Disclaimers:
I KNOW that it uses a 20 amp circuit
I KNOW bugera and behringer are the same thing
I KNOW 3600 watts are PEAK rated, andi really don't care
If you think it sucks because it blew up on you, you used it wrong
IF YOU HAVEN'T USED THIS AMP, DON'T TALK BAD ABOUT IT

I saw this beast marked down over 50% on amazon ($220) and I couldn't resist. From the looks of things, you'd be high NOT to buy this amp. Hybrid tube design, graphic eq, foot switchable graphic eq and FX loop, and a rack mount design.

Anyone used one of these? What did you think?

I don't understand why people can't just get a good deal. There isn't always some underlying conspiracy.

Maybe they have hidden a bomb inside!

But seriously, great deal. I've owned few Behringer/Bugera branded stuff and never had a problem with them.

I have never had any luck with Behringer, but at that price I would "Kick the tires" again. Tell us how she is working out for you. Good Luck!

If it blew up you used it wrong?

Well I guess that's accurate. They are primarily door stops.

Good luck.

actually only partially true, Bugera and Behringer share the same parent company , but are independently operated. Different plants, parts suppliers and R&D depts. I have played through your amps smaller brother (BVP5500) rehearsals and gigs, for the last 4 years and could not be happier with it , great versatility of tone and rock solid reliability. I was actually looking at the nuke model , but its more amp than I need.

enjoy it brother , dont listen to what cork sniffers say , great amps, good bang for your buck

If you don't care what "we" think then why post about it at all.

You get what you pay for, but if you like it who cares what "we" think? Most the guys on here use stuff that I can't stand and wouldn't use unless I was left with no alternative. I've played many backline provided shows and, once I see whats there, I'll still use mine if I can get away with it. I'm talking some major high end brands.

Am I the only one that senses a little hostility in the whole post?

If you search the site you see a lot of people saying they suck, with a total lack of evidence those people have even seen one in the flesh. The hostility is clearly for those people. They came and posted anyway.

Let us know the right way to use it so it doesn't blow up on others who own it. Maybe thats why behringer/bugera has so many problems, people do their best to blow them up.

Posted this before...

I've a friend that owns/runs a local music store.

He carries the usual, Fender, Roland, Yamaha, Bugera, ect.

He's sold a TON of the Bug guitar amps, a few of their bass amps.

All the brand names he has has had items come back for warranty service except for the Burgera's...

I'm just sayin'...

This amp is a particular case. Because it draws such a high wattage, it uses an 18 amp circuit. Most standard homes are equipped with 15 amp circuits. A lot of people are plugging their bugeras into 15 amp circuits and blaming bugera when it won't turn back on

You're not going to get an heirloom grade build quality with a Bugera, and for $220, it really doesn't need it. Most of the Bugera stuff I've played sounded pretty good. If it tickles your fancy, I say go for it.

Now for the important question: What on earth are you going to do with an amplifier that can blow a 15 amp breaker?

+1 You say Bugera or Behringer and people have a definite opinion whether they have owned one or not enjoy your amp.
