getting rack ears for older model GK 800 RB

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I've got a 1987 GK 800-RB. The newer rack ear kits don't work with my model. Apparently in the old days the rack ears upgrade replaced the entire side panels and didn't just attach onto the existing side panels.

I talked to the parts folks at GK with no success - they don't make the part anymore and they have none in stock. Per Lany at GK - " Your amp needs the old version rack kit (with side panels). I'm sorry, this version is obsolete and no longer available".

Does anyone know of a 3rd party vendor or DIY solution to get my 800-RB safely into a rack or travel case?

Thanks, Chris
