Gift: Acoustic B20 or Ampeg BA112 or other?

Looking to buy a friend a bass combo. This is strictly for home practice. I already own an Acoustic B20 and think it does its job well, but also the Ampeg BA112 seems to be a step up for a couple bucks more.

Anything in love with these or anything else in the $250 range? Fender Rumble 30? Line 6 LowDown 15? Peavey Max112, Hartke A35?

my vote goes for acoustic. the ampeg combos hiss very loud almost louder then the bass.

the only one you mentioned in that range i'm in love with is the ba112. but the b20 ain't bad at all for the money.

I love my ba112 and it doesnt hiss. I think the older ones with the tweeter might have had hiss, but mine doesnt have the tweeter or the hiss. great little amp.

ba112 is nice but i dont think its worth the price

Couldn't resist AMS had a discounted BA112 marked down to $199 + Ampeg has a $30 Mail-In Rebate. Can't wait to try it out.
