Cab is bulletproof but heavy. Head puts out some good power so I should do good volume wise. What type of music do you play and what type of volume levels do you need.

I play jazz fusion and Metal. So I need versatility. The venue is 500 people max.

Those cabs are beasts and that head is a monster. The combination won't disappoint. Only issue is that the cab weighs as much as the last girl I dated.

PS- I've had a 210TX and it was killer. Great sounding cab, just heavy. I'm sure the TVX are good too. I use a 1001RB-II as my main amp right now and love it!

I have a 1001RBII and I love it. B*tch cranks like a mofo. I run it thru my Ampeg 8X10 with one band in our storage unit, and I have an SWR 4X10 at home for mobility and jamming with other buddies. It's nice, but my cab is prolly as heavy as that Peavey. I think mine's 89 pounds.

There's an SWR Goliath III 4X10 at a Pawn shop in town that's SUPER light. I think it's probably 50 pounds. I'm about to offer a swap or try to sell mine for it. Moving around this damn 4X10 in and out of my hatchback is a pain in the ass and I'd love something lighter. Keep that in mind when you're buying. How much you're going to be moving it around.

It's much easier to roll or drag an 810 with a handle and casters than it is to dead lift a 100 lb 410, especially with stairs or tight doorways. Trust me on this.

I can vouch for the 4x10's being heavy and awkward but you do get a real nice low mix from it. And i have the 1001rb-2, I love all the versatility I get in shaping my sound whether its metal, funk, jazz, whatever. Either way, should sound nice with the Peavey i personally run through an Ampeg 4x10 classic cab so its like butter. I have tried the SWR's and they are AWESOME but the GK neo cabs allow you to bi-amp with the GK head, (i'm just not too particular on their sound) not that they're bad but I like my ampeg lows but happy hunting to you make sure to try out as much as you can before you buy!!

1001rbii + Peavey cab sounds better than 1001rbii + Ampeg cab or Mesa cab (in my experience)

I use an 800Rb and a 410TX cabinet. Tone for days but it weighs a ton (well, the speaker cabinet does - not so much the amp).

A friend of mine just bought a used Peavey 4x10. I took my Shuttle6.0 and it sounded pretty damned good!!! It will do what you want. And, of course, they make Army tanks out of used Peavey cabs.....

Thanks guys, according to your experiences, I arrived to the conclusion that this seems to be a good sound combination but heavy like a tank.
thanks again guys, a lot of help in your replies

4x10s are usually always good, it just really depends on your needs. Like I said I've got an 8x10 for practice with one band and my 4x10 to move around. I emailed the pawn shop guy about that lighter Swr cab yesterday and I'm also looking for a 2x10 for when I jam with a couple of guys with smaller combo amps. That ease of mobility for me is key. But if it's going to sit at a dedicated place to play then mobility isn't a big factor unless you start gigging and have to move for shows as well.
All up to you.
