GK 112-II NEO question

Sign in to disble this ad
I have the GK 112-II NEO cabinet which is an 8 Ohm cabinet, rated at 300 watts. A terrific cabinet in every aspect. That being said,,,

I just bought one of the new GK 200MB bass heads, http://www.artistrelations.com/featu...les.html?23275 Its rated at 200 watts into 4 Ohms, and 140 watts into 8 Ohms.

I'd like to run it at its full potential (200 watts @ 4 ohms).

Does anyone make a direct drop in 4 Ohm replacement that I could switch the stock speaker with without doing any mods to the cabinet???? Or would I be better off just picking up a different cab thats rated at 4 Ohms?? I reaallly like the design and portability of the GK 112 Neo though...

A second cab wont work, the MB200 only has 1 speakon output.

Ok, I've never done this before, let me wrap my head around this.

So, what your saying is, that I can take the speakon out of the amp into the speakon on the cab,,,,then take the 1/4" jack out of the cab into a second 8 ohm 112 NEO??? I understand that 2 8's will give me the 4 I need,, but I've never daisy chained cabs before. Is this the correct hookup?

One more thing,,the cab should be swithed to "full range" right.???
