Gk 400RB 2x10 Speaker question... replacements?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a very nice Gk400rb 2x10. Id like to replace the speakers as they sound a bit tired. Does anyone know a good replacement speaker for this cab, its shaped like a wedge/kickback. Thanks Myke

I'd suggest sending Bob Gallien, (rag here at the T.B. forum), a e-mail and see what he'd suggest for replacements.

Check out this page: http://secure.netsolhost.com/272252....tegory_Code=S8
Give G-K a call as to which will fit the existing cab the best.

Gk sells replacement drivers for that. It will sound the most like stock with those. You may be able to find other drivers which are good or better but its hard to day. That being an odd shaped box it will be tough to figure out the internal volume. So it may be tough to pick a driver by TS params.

It will be pretty easy to measure the 400rb combo since it doesn't have a shelf port in it. the RHB combos have the shelf ports and it is a bit harder to measure. Those are pretty small cabs...

Ok, GK will sell me new ones but has anybody "upgraded" their amp with something different? Id like to get a bit more power handling if I can.
