Smile GK 700 rb and?

Sign in to disble this ad
i just recently got the GK 700rb head and an ampeg svt 410he cab. I love how the set up sounds now but id like to get an ampeg svt115e cab to go under it. Both cabs would be 8 ohms, and an rms at 500 watts or so. My concern is that the head says its only 480 watts at 4 ohms. Will this head power the 2 cabs sufficiently?

Will i need to step up to a bigger amp to run both cabs?

thanks for your help

Yes, the head will power both cabs just fine, but you may want to reconsider the 410/15 pairing. Popular as it may be, it's an awful mis-match, no matter how you cut it. 2 matching cabs are always the better pair.
