Question GK 700 RB w/ GK 410blx & Gk 115blx

Sign in to disble this ad
I Bought a Gallien Krueger 700 RB Mark 2 and just purchased 2 cabs for $200, the backline GK 410 BLX and the backline GK 115 BLX. I was wondering if the power of both cabs would be able to handle the 700rb and sound decent. I havent played bass in about 10 years because I was a front man for awhile in numerous deathmetal bands, and im trying to learn the right way about the bass in and out. Oh yea, I bought a new Ibanez sr305, and i am about to buy a sr 500. anyone have any suggestions on the above or about playing bass and singing ( Scandinavian deathmetal ) . Thank your for your time in reading.

So long as they are each 8 ohm cabs (a combined load of 4 ohms which is as low as a 700 can go) they should be fine and sound quite good. I don't really know much about death metal, but I'd suggest learning all styles of music, it can only help. My experience playing jazz has really helped me create melodic bass lines for rock, and learning as many motown songs as you can will help everything bass related...
