Its probably been a problem facing most of us at some point but Im looking for suggestions for cabs.
I love the GK with my P bass and Stingray and play in blues. blues/rock and R&B bands. Venues range from bars to some large clubs and the odd outdoor venue. Im not looking for a particularly old school tone or particularly hi-fi, more like rounded, warm with a tight bottom end.
Ive considered a pair of 15s but prefer the 410 sound. Ive enjoyed the Ampeg 410HE but could do with a bit more punch/thump.
Ideally I'd like a one cab does all and dont see much use for a pair of 410s or an 810.
Any suggestions, ideas, experiences?

Any suggestions, ideas, experiences? | I think a Bergantino HS410 might hit on all cylinders for ya. |

I play my RB1001 through a Bergantino Cab sounds amazing.
But I got the AE410, which is a little bit more agressive.
I would highly suggest looking into these cabs.

The HS410 hits a bit harder in the lower mids, and is just a tad more warm/round. |

I agree - I had an SVT-410HLF for awhile, and it paired up very well with my 700rb-II... The 700rb-II's EQ section is quite powerful and versatile...

I like the idea of hitting hard in the lower mids.

In relation to slap tones..
AE410 = Flea Tone.
HS410 = Marcus Miller Tone.

| | | | I have a GK Neo412 and am using it with my GK MB500. Its a fantastic sounding cab, handles 1200 watts and is not to hard to schlep around. They are pretty inexpensive too.

The 4x10 is low, tight and punchy, the 2x12 is more articulate in the the mids. The other plus is that you can use the bi-amp feature of you RB 700. You can't go wrong for the price.

I tried the gk 410 neo and it had too much bottom for me vs the 212 sounding just right, and bi amp tweeter control is a bonus for a bit of extra high end clarity when volume creeps up | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
