Why pick just one? My GK amps have both. Loud and reliable. You don't have to pick just one.

I like reliable, loud amps as well. But in that order.

How do you think a GK 700RB II would match up with an old Acoustic 106 (2X15) 4 ohm cab?

MB500. About $1/watt and sounds ferocious. weighs under 4 lbs. The GK sound beats Carvin. Carvin's not bad, but it doesn't get the GK growl n grind.

+1 I owned a 700rbII and it was fantastic. So is the MB500. So why lug around all that extra weight? My gator rack has my mb500, a racktuner, and a shure wireless. The whole rack ,full ,weighs less than an 700rbII.
