GK 800RB with 2 cabs

Sign in to disble this ad
Would anyone know if it is ok to hook up 2 cabs to my 800RB, one that is a 1x15 300watt 4ohm and one that is a 1X15 300watt 8ohm, one on each of the two outputs.

Thanks, Mike.

I don't believe the 800RB can deal with a total 2.67 impedance load... I don't know that for certain. Is this not covered in the manual?

I would lean towards no, I'm not sure the 800rb is going to handle that load very well.
You could probably run the 8ohm cab through the 100w high side of the bi-amp and the 4ohm cab on the low side.

it is ok but you have to split them up. the low amp can handle the 4ohm and the high end amp (outputs on top) can handle the 8 ohm. you can then decide if you want to engage the biamp or run full range.....

the 800rb is a tuf son of a gun.....but don't go below the 4 ohm load.....
