Question GK advice...

Need to buy some new cabs for my 1001rbII. Neo 4x10 paired with Neo 15 or the 4ohm 212 stand alone? Played through the 212 at a gig, sounded great. 410 and 15 aren't available near me, but can get a great deal for both online. Thoughts and opinions?

I would suggest the stand alone if you're sure it'll work. I've been dying to get my hands on a Genz Benz Uber 212 to replace my 610 XB2 that won't fit in my car.

How about 4ohm 410, or 2 8ohm 410s?

What environments are you going to be playing or playing in the future? Bars, clubs, larger venues? A 410 should be fine on it own as long as your band isn't the loudest thing ever. Plus most larger venues will have FOH support. I still take a 610 or 810 to these shows but that's because I don't have a smaller cab.

Because the neo drivers are tight and punchy regardless of speaker size, I prefer to keep the low end as deep as possible. Anyone whose played a neo 4x10 can't attest to their lack of warmth

that's a cab thing, not a speaker thing.

Two GK Neo 212-II cabs - in eight ohms each.

You're done...

And I will third it!

I have a Neo 212 on top of a Neo 410. Really wish I had just gone with 2 - 212s. They are light and just as articulate to my ears as the 410.

Another 212 is next on my list.

Yeah, I would either roll with the two Neo212-II's or else the 212/410 stack.

+1 for the 2x 212's in 8 ohm version. A modular 412 will eat the 410/15 rig for breakfast, and sound better doing it. 410/15 is NOT a good match.
