so i got one of these today, it sounds GREAT. just going to need an ext cab for gigging larger venues (and to look cool of course, lol) but the previous owner put in two 8 ohm eminences to make it a 4 ohm load and get all 300 watts out of it.
question is, if i traded mt fender bxr300c for a gk 8x10 cab and re-wired it to a 16 ohm load in the combo and re-wired the 8x10 cab to an 8 ohm load (from 4) i would have a 5.333 ohm load. would i be getting just under 300 watts? and would that mess up my amp?
or should i trade/sell off the eminences for two 16 ohm drivers and get an 8 ohm load out of that and re-wire the 8x10 cab to 8 ohms for a grand total of 4 ohms?
