I broke my old GK 400RB today and instead of lugging my 125lb 400+ to a simple day jam with a drummer which I'll be bringing everything back I want to try the 400RB with my two Bagend cabs a S15-D and a S15X-D (both 8ohms)

now the head says max 200watts @ 4ohms so what do you think and should I just play it.

I plugged in the cabs seperately to try them and they seemed pretty loud but I'm wondering if I should instead go from head to cab then cab to cab to drop the ohms only to not mess anything up?

Bottom line is I don't want to mess the cabs up !

There's no way to mess anything up. If the 400RB has two speaker outputs and you have two cables, you can run a cable to each Bag End. Or you can run the 400RB to one cab and daisy-chain the second cab to the first. Both ways are electrically equivalent and put a 4 ohm load on your amp. Don't worry about watts - that is not an issue here.

That's a great combo. The 400RB is lacking in steam (imo) and a pair of efficient Bag Ends will wring the most sound out of it.

nice!!!! because I REALLY like (and time made me forget) how good this amp sounded!

Okay so I'll leave the cabs the way are now (2 outputs on amp with each output going to 1 cab) as for the wattage would that mean 100 watts is going to each cab? and I think each cab peaks at 200watts so this should be pretty good if the volume is sufficient,,,, have to find me GK800 though!

Have fun. I ran a 1001RB-II into a Bag End 410 (Q10BX-D) and it's KILLER.

I ran my 2001RB bridged into a pair of S15D's and never had a problem. You are fine. GK and BE are a great match.
