GK BLX to complete the stack or scrap?

Howdy every one, been awhile since I have been on here.

But my dilemma today is that on a casual stroll through Guitar Center (I fought off several salesmen) I noticed they have a GK BLX 1x15 cabinet used for $140ish.

I currently am running:
Head: GK 400RB iii
Cab 1: GK Backline 410 BLX ii
through a
91' Fender Jazz Bass with Dimarzio Model j's

I feel my tone is lacking in low end presence because the 4x10's can make some sweet warm bass, but they don't have the umph and body behind it. As well, they don't distinguish between lower notes, especially through the mud of a EHX big muff.

Will the 1x15 solve this problem? I assume the smaller the speaker the more treble, the larger, more bass. And when you combine the 1x15 and the 4x10 they equalize the voicing capabilities of the high and low end?
Is it worth it? I do plan on eventually getting out of GK gear for Mesa or maybe Mark Bass, but that is not for a long time.

Last, is it even "working". When I tried it at GC through a GK 600rb it definitely had low end power, boomy, low notes were distinct. But as I moved higher up the octaves it began having a very recessed and muted or distant treble. I lack experience with 15" speakers so I don't know if that's normal, or my general distrust for used items at Guitar Center.

Thank you again for the help.

No, the 15 won't add "bottom". Another identical 410, will. Or, better cabs than the entry level GK cabs you're currently using. Low end comes from a well designed cab. (the box) NOT anything to do with the size of the speaker. Do some reading here on the amps forum. Lots to learn.
