GK Fusion550

I'm about to go amp shopping, and I've heard good things about GK's Fusion550 tube/solid-state hybrid head. (http://www.gallien.com/spotlight_550.html)
Has anyone played one of these? What do you think? Any recommendations for cabs to go with it?
Thanks.

I've not had experience, but I hear a lot of people having trouble with the mechanised knobs. Other than that, it's a GK. ;D I really want to get myself some of the RBH 410s, but a lot of people are going for the newer neos. A 410 or 212 might just what you're looking for. If you have plenty of room and ways to get it to gigs easy, I don't see a problem getting an 810 though. If you don't want to match with GK, everyone seems to be mad about Bergantino. Again, no experience with these, but I've heard some of them that are gorgeous. I personally use Laney Nexus 410s. They are really good for some Rock and Metal tone. I've been able to get an alright slap tone from them too, but I'm not really that much of a slap player. =P Hope the info is useful.

Bergantino Cabs are the BEE'S KNEES!! depending on your requirements- the NV610 or NV412 are superb & NOT hard to move at all. But the AE line (neo-Dym) are great too. I don't think there's a bad one.

Thanks for the responses, and for MIJ-VI's review. I've loved 810s the few times I've gotten to play them, but I would also be using this amp for my double bass gigs, which wouldn't give me enough room to lug around a truly massive cabinet. I'll look into the Bergantino cabs, those sound nice from what I've heard. I've also seen a few bassists using Bag End cabs with some of the GK solid state amps for both double bass and bass guitar, and they sound great.
