I'm looking to get one of these but was wondering how many people here on TB have one and do you like it and has it been dependable. I'd really appreciate any info....I've also considered a Carvin MB-10 if anybody has one of those, I'd appreciate any info on that as well. Thanks )-(

Can't comment on the 112, but I have the 115 and I love it.

Lots of GK owners here. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for about the 112.

My university has one that we use for travel gigs and on occasion when one of our other amps dies from some moron crankin the volume too high. Its a great sounding amp for the size and prize and gets a great sound with both electric and upright bass

I had one but sold it. It's a good little practice amp, but not much more than that.

MB10

I have the Carvin MB10 and love the tone. The advantage of the Carvin is you can drop a another cab under it for a 250w rig.
On its own it cranks up loud, just haven’t jammed with my band with it yet. I’m gonna try it tomorrow stacked on my Dr. Bass 3-way cab.
I’ll also try it by itself to see if it can keep up. My guess is it will cut through but without much girth.

If you're gonna jam with a band I recommend the Carvin MB15. It has all the power of the MB10 but can handle good jams on it's own. It doesn't "bite" like the MB10 but it's still very compact and easy to move.
