I keep hearing about new versions of the GK MB combos, (eg the MB212).

When are these due and what are the changes?

Thanks

A friend of mine bought a new MB210 last Friday. Played a gig with it Saturday night. Took it back Monday morning. As he put it, "some bizarre and irritating vibration".

Hmm, is this the same as others have been reporting?

If by "new", do you mean the ones that arent out yet?

When GK releases their MBP powered speakers, the "new" combos are going to have an additional line out jack which will have a hot enough signal to power an MBP powered speaker. Other than that, I dont know any other differences.

Overall the MB series is "new" having only been out not that long ago.

Ive owned one for a year and done a lot of small gigs with the MB210 and it was a tank. Great sound, a LOT of bottom end, and easy to move and great price.

The biggest complaints have been 1) damaged in shipping, which I think is mostly stores re-shipping returned ones and selling them as new, 2) vibrations with the grill or with the powered amp. The grill and powered amp are screwed in, and at loud volumes some people have reported vibrations. I think most of them were fixed with a screwdriver and 3 minutes, 3) Hissy tweeter, lots of people have hissy tweeters.

If you pick one up without problems, they are IMO the best bang for your buck on the market for their size, weight, and what they sound like and the volume they put out.
