Is it ok to put this amp in a rack with as hot as it supposedly gets? I really never noticed that it gets too hot and if you shouldn't put it in a rack why would they make or rack accessible?

I don't know about this particular head, but they usually recommend leaving a space open above it.

They have an internal fan.
Mine doesn't get noticeably hot.
Warm maybe, hot, nope.

I have mine in a 4-space with another SS amp that gets pretty warm so I leave space above and below it.

Mine doesn't even get warm, let alone hot. I would think a rack mount would have its challenges: no access to the top buttons or the labels at the back of the top, plus a long reach into the back (unless it's a shallow rack). Let us know how it works out if you do it.

IMO, using a rack for a micro amp as tiny and light as an MB Fusion defeats much of the purpose for owning a micro amp in the first place. Being so light and tiny, it simply isn't subject to the same degree of damage that a conventional two-space or three-space racked amp faces. A high-quality padded bag, plus some careful, common-sense treatment of it while in use, should be more than sufficient to keep it safe.

This sorta...

MM: "IMO, using a rack for a micro amp as tiny and light as an MB Fusion defeats much of the purpose for owning a micro amp in the first place."

I have a LMII, F1, Neopak, STM-900. I have rackears for 3 of those 4 amps but I've never used them...well for long at least.

The lightweight, small-ish factory or after market bags to carry these small amps just serve such a good purpose. I now have 4-5 Gator/SKB rack cases sitting around from previous use housing large amps in the past. So I wanna use those rack cases; just doesn't make alota sense with these small amps.

I just bought a World Tour bag for my 900. 'Cept for a couple stubborn zippers on it, the 900 w/accessories fits very well. We're finally in Easy-Schlepsville cats, embrace it.
