GK MB112 vs Carvin MB10 ?

Sign in to disble this ad
anyone who owns any of these 2 amps:

the mb112 is 200 watts, 12" speaker
the mb10 is 200 watts through a 10"

im kinda skeptical about a 10" speaker.... hmmmmmmmmm

what can you tell me about these 2?
are they gig worthy?

What kind of gig? If you're doing Rock/Blues, I'd get the MB15. The MB12 and MB10 could handle small gigs but would require an extension if things get loud. You'll hear them, but you won't really feel them much.

If you're in a jazzy band and play a fretless or an upright, I'd get the MB12.

I have the MB10 and love it. Past 3 my condo walls shake so I can't really crank it.

MB15

Definitely the MB15 then. Better more than less I say. The 15" speaker is more suited to rock jamming.
