| The $500 market is kind of tough. It is the same market I am in and have played and tried like every combination of new and used stuff in it. I have played some great used gear but that is kind of hard to evaluate as what I have and have had available to me is not always what you will be seeing in your area. As far as new stuff goes well I started looking at the Acoustic stuff. The B200 combo is one that I keep going back to. I love the sound. It is big rich deep full bass, but it is heavy and at only 200 watts it is loud but I question how long it would last with what I am doing (there is no ecxtension option available). I just played on a Peavy TNT115 the other day and my god does that thing have some volume. It is reasonable as far as weight, but it is big. Not sure how it will fit in the car, and not greatly impressed with the tone. Right afer I got done playing that I plugged into a MB210 and thought I would rather spend the extra $100 for the gk. As far as the Acoustic 210 combo I would run the other way. Played it and it just sounded week and hollow. It to is extremely heavy and my back says no way. I am about to start looking at the Ampeg stuff this weekend. I will let you know how that goes. hope this helps. By the way GC has a couple of used MB210 for $400 to $450 and there shipping is really cheap.
