GK MB200, aux in as preamp input?

Can the aux in be used as a preamp input? The MB200 does not have an effects return which would be the typical scenario. The preamp has it's own gain and volume controls of course. Thanks in advance.

I tried it once and it worked, but like you said, the preamp is your only source of controlling volume since the aux in is tied right to the amplifier stage. None of the knobs on the front will do anything.
You can use the 1/4 line out/headphone out as a send, and use the 3.5mm line input jack as a return as well, then your knobs will control stuff.
