GK MB200 - Cab Suggestions?

Sign in to disble this ad
Looking for cab suggestions for my GK MB200... to be used for my new practice/rehearsal/small cafe set up. Specs...

4 ohm, 210, lightweight, small, reasonable price wouldn't hurt, available now.

So... what cabs should I be looking into...

For the MB200, you'll get the most usable volume from a Bill Fitzmaurice design 210. Highly efficient with those low watts. Because wattage is so cheap now, many commercials bass cabs need 300-600 watts to really sing. Or I'd look into a Hartke 210xl. Nice price and good match I think with that amp, but it's an 8ohm cab...

I know you asked for a 2x10" cab, but you have the option of Eden's EX-110 (1x10" @ 4Ohm) or EX-112 (1x12" @ 4Ohm), both can handle 300 watts.

Another option is the Hartke HyDrive 112, it's a 1x12" cab that you can switch from 4 to 8 Ohm and it can handle 300 watts.

I hope this helps!

The Hartke 210xl cab is interesting, but a bit on the heavy side. Sort of against what I'm trying to setup. And I'm only looking for a 210 cab running @ 4 ohms. Keep them suggestions coming

I run mine through a tiny Eden EX112 4 ohm cab. Its a mini rig of doom and sounds great.

I've also run that little head through my 8x10 at a fill-in gig recently, and it was thunderous and filled the room while not even breaking a sweat.
