GK MB210 combo rattles?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone else notice that their GK mb210 combo rattles when on solid floors? it also seems like, even with my tweeter off, there is still air coming through the tweeter port and it creates a rattling noise as well.

thanks

There was another thread on this recently, though I forget where...people are not having the best luck with these combos, which sucks because GK has always made rock-solid gear.

Put the amp on a small carpet so that it’s not resting directly on the hard floor - also make sure the grill bolts and etc are tight - and I don’t like horns or tweeters in bass guitar loudspeakers so personally I’d turn the horn off.

It's a reoccuring problem with the mb series stuff. Take it all apart and put it back together again, just to make sure speakers are sealed and tightened down good, along with all the other hardware. Some crossbracing and lining inside the cabinet and some weatherstripping or strips cut from an old bicycle innertube around the grill mount may help too.
