GK MB210 Speaker issue

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a used MB210, got it home and it has a bad vibration. I checked all the screws, grill, etc. but I kept getting the vibration (mostly on the E.) In spite of running the bass control very low it's unusable. While playing it with the grill removed I noticed a seperation where the according material is glued to the cone. Can I glue that? What type of glue would you recommend? Would GK take care of this?

you are sure the cone is seperated from the surround?

then you need a re-cone or a new speaker

I doubt this is covered under any warranty

assuming you were able to test before purchase - did it sound ok then?

well, that is a nice clean break

assuming that this is the only issue with your speaker - you should try to repair it

something like this should do it

Speaker Repair Glue 1 oz. Bottle 340-076

take the speaker out and give it a go!

If you bought the thing at a store TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!!!

Don't mess with it, don't try to fix it just return it to where you got it.

The fix was cheap and very easy. After a lot of research I purchased some Permatex vinyl repair glue. It's clear and flexible. Costs about $4.00.
