GK MB212 or MB200 with...?

I'm a beginner bassist and looking to buy a long-term amp that is approx. $600 and capable of gigging small clubs, without being short on power and lightweight. I like what I've read about the GK mb212, however, I'm also aware of the benefits of a separate head and cab. The mb200 or Backline 600 along with the MBE212 is around the same price range. I'm seeking recommendations for either the combo or what head/cab setup I should get.
P.S. I've excluded used equipment based on weight factor and plan to pull the trigger tonight on GC's extended Labor Day sale.

I just bought the MB212 yesterday from GC.The woman on the phone said they had 70 available and it should be delivered this week.

I bought the 212 because I wanted a true combo, I didnt want to have to rely on a seperate cab to get the job done. I wanted loud, light, and portable.

in your situation, I'd probably get the combo. I already had a cabinet and just needed a backup for my mesa head. I bought an MB200. I just plugged it in and played it for a few minutes. I've gotta say, this thing through a 4X10 is plenty loud, even at 140 watts into 8 ohms. Impressive little head!
