GK MBE212 + MBE115 with Backline210 Head?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm currently playing with a GK Backline210. Il like the sound but the 2 10" can't handle correctly the full power.

I plan to move to MB Fusion + MBE212 an MBE115, but I'm can't afford the whole at the same time. So, I would like to know it if could be possible to buy the MBE212 and MBE115 (8 Ohm each) and connecte them together on my Backline 210 Head (4 Ohm)?

Will it sound nice, as the Backloine 210 has no bi-amp output.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Merci les amis

Philippe

A little confused, but, assuming your backline 210 is a combo amp, and not a "head", you could probably connect ONE cab to the combo, but not both. That is , IF the combo amp has an ext spkr OUT, and the impedance matches,

From the Backline Series Owner's Manual:

The Backline 210 combo electronics are identical to the
Backline 600 head and are rated for the same maximum
power output and speaker load (300W into 4 Ohms). To
drive an external cabinet, the combo’s internal speaker
can be disconnected by unplugging the speaker cable
connected to the combo’s back panel.

Évidemment, ça marche! Just make sure the cabs you buy are the eight-ohm ones, not the four-ohm ones.
