I have Peavey Fury 2 with active pick ups but I just know it cant be that because I have played with GK before at rehearsal spots. Also on their website GK 'claims' that the 410 is both 4 and 8 ohms but I just realized that my head can do 700 watts but at 4 ohms. Is this why you are trying to switch it? (I know alot of questions kinda new to this) | Make sure the switch is set to full range. They come pre set from the factory to Bi-amp. As for ohms. GK does not say the 410 can be switched from 4 to 8 ohms. They may say the cab is available in 4 or 8 ohms but it is not switchable.
Bi-amp only works with a GK bi-ampable head and cable. If you use anything else then you will damage the speaker. You can use a regular speak on cable or 1/4 inch cable with the cab, but make sure it's set to full range not bi-amp. I'm only trying to trade because I want a smaller lighter cab. My 410 works perfectly.
Are you using the 1001 with the bi-amp cable and cab set to bi-amp? The cable that came with the speaker is all black and the bi-amp cable.
