GK NEO 4x10 vs 2x12

I am using a GK MBFusion Head which features
500 watts @ 4 ohms, 350 watts @ 8 ohms

I am trying to decide what to pair it with between
GK Neo 4x10
or
GK Neo 2x12

My questions are:
1 - What is going to be the difference between a 4x10 and 2x12. I am leaning towards 2x12 because I like to feel the bass more than hear it, but my band mates think a 4x10 would sound better.

2 - Each cabinet is rated at 8ohms. Does this mean I will only be pushing 350 watts through it?

3 - Is this combo going to be enough power to be heard in small-medium gigs without being mic'd to the PA? I used the head with a MBE 2x10 in a gig or 2 and I have had trouble hearing myself.

1- personal preference
2- yes
3- hard to say, but having more than you think need is always a good idea.

1. The 4 x 10 does go lower. 30 Hz compared to the 53 Hz of the GK NEO212 . It is also rated at 800 watts compared to 600, and has greater speaker area. So, in theory and most likely in practice, it will go lower and louder than the 212.

2. Both cabs are 8 ohms, so you would be putting out 350 watts to each cabinet.

3. Hard to say. It depends on how loud the band is onstage. I am using a 212 with 300 watts and it seems pretty loud to me. I have no trouble hearing myself. Unless your band plays very loud onstage, either cabinet should work fine for moderate indoor gigs, with a nod toward the 4 x 10 being able to go lower and louder.

My experience (have owned both cabs) is yes the 410 will go deep(er), than the 212, but the 212 to me sits in mix better, so the perceived loudness could go either way.....and the 212does not run out of low end ( at least was plenty for my needs)
